NBC Sports Group announced  the formation of NBC Sports Network Fight Night, a boxing series featuring premier boxing talent. Fight Night will debut on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 on the NBC Sports Network (which will be renamed from VERSUS on Jan. 2, 2012), from Asylum Arena in Philadelphia, Pa. The Fight Night cards are being scheduled in cities that are served by a Comcast Sports Group regional network, and the regional networks will help promote the events and have the ability to re-air fights.
NBC Sports Group will work with Main Events and Hall-of-Fame matchmaker J Russell Peltz on a multi-promoter strategy for NBC Sports Network Fight Night designed to produce the best quality fights. Dave Haywood and Lady Antebellum gets Married

All three members of country supergroup Lady Antebellum are officially off the market, as Dave Haywood married Kelli Cashiola on a private farm just outside Nashville on Saturday. The bride, 30, wore a white lace dress and a white flower in her hair, while singer/songwriter Dave Barnes provided the music for the happy occasion, according to People. Several wedding guests took to Twitter to offer congratulations to the newlyweds. "The Dave Haywood/Kelli Cashiola wedding was awesome. Like a movie," fellow Nashville country trio Mockingbird Sun Tweeted on Sunday. "Wish them the very best!" Attendee Kyle Key Tweeted, "Back from secret wedding location. What a wedding! New Nike NFL Alternative Uniforms

The Carolina Panthers' new Nike uniforms were unveiled on Tuesday, along with a hidden message. The Panthers will have the words "Keep Pounding" stitched on the collars of their jerseys in honor of late linebacker and assistant coach Sam Mills.It is this kind of gesture that should be on every NFL uniform, remembering those who meant so much to the league. Mills was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in August 2003. Despite undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment, he remained on the field for the Panthers during the 2003-2004 season, and his inspirational plea to "keep pounding" led the team to a victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round. Mills said before the game,  "When I found out I had cancer, there were two things I could do—quit or keep pounding. I'm a fighter. I kept pounding. You're fighters, too. Keep pounding!"
