A nnounced 100 most influential people in the world for 2012 on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Among the list was entertainers, political leaders, comedians, athletes, scientists, writers, and CEO’s. This years 100 most influential list included 54 international figures from 37 different countries and several controversial figures. The list is divided into five categories: Moguls, Breakouts, Icons, Pioneers and Leaders and compiled from an online poll of readers. How does TIME pick the 100 most influential people? They report on the website, “They are the people who inspire us, entertain us, challenge us and change our world.
