Presentation:
The first decade of this Century has been characterized by the opening of the Chinese market to foreign firms. Today we are witnessing a surge of Chinese investment abroad. The aim of this program is to prepare a generation of leaders able to manage this new flow of activities.
The MBA China/Far East and Europe Business Relations will not only focus on rules and strategies that need to be applied on both Asian and European markets but it will also give the instruments to put together firms leveraging on the differences and similarities from each context. The aim of this MBA is to teach how build bridges between Asia and Europe.
During the 12 months intensive program, participants will learn through lectures and business cases how to manage bilateral business relations in all core activities as Supply Chain, Strategy, Business development, Finance, R&D, Marketing & Communication, etc.
Program Structure:
China/Far East and Europe Business Relations is a concentration of the Master of Business Administration of Alma Graduate School, the business school of the University of Bologna. The program is a challenging, intensive 12-month full-time international program taught entirely in English.
The curriculum of the MBA China/Far East and Europe Business Relations is divided in two main parts: General Management (core courses, shared with the other concentrations), which is designed to provide students with the necessary management and business skills; and a China/Far East and Europe Business Relations concentration, designed to provide an opportunity for specialization and in-depth focus on this broad topic.
General Management courses:
Internship & career:
Creating employability is one of the primary goals of the MBA China/Far East and Europe Business Relations program. Therefore, interaction between theory and practice is an essential part of the curriculum: master lectures, testimonials, analysis of business cases, and in-company visits will take place throughout the year and will go side by side the core academic courses.
The program also includes a 500-hour internship scheduled in the last period of the program (June - September 2013). Internships will take place at European or international companies with important relations with China or Chinese and Far Eastern companies with significant business in Europe. The internship represents an opportunity for MBA participants to analyze real company problems, develop strategies, and elaborate action plans together with upper level managers.
