Angelina Jolie Respond to leg Jokes

Forget "The Artist," the real hot topic from the Oscars last month was Angelina Jolie's right leg, which she constantly kept thrusting out from under her high-cut black Atelier Versace gown. Within hours, dozens of "memes" — a concept that spreads via the internet — were created, with the actress's leg being digitally added onto everything from the Statue of Liberty to the Moon landing. So what did she think about the phenomenon?
"I honestly didn't pay attention to it," Jolie, 36, tells The Huffington Post in a new interview. "You know what I mean? I don't watch those TV shows and if I go online and see something about myself, I don't click on it. And the people I surround myself with don't really talk about that kind of stuff. I heard something, but I didn't pay any attention. It's as simple as a being a woman picking a dress you like and having a night, and not really thinking about anything else."
Even before the Oscars had ended that night, Jolie's daring look was the talk of the show. When she walked the stage to present the Best Adapted Screenplay award, the audience laughed when she jutted her leg out and gave them a knowing look with a hand on her hip. And when "Community" actor Jim Rash stepped up to the mic to accept his statue for "The Descendants," he also struck the same pose, albeit his leg was much more covered up. "Honestly, as soon as I saw her pose like that, I was like, 'I'm going to do that,'" Rash told Entertainment Weekly after the show. "I knew [fellow winner, director Alexander Payne] was going to take the reins, so I was like, 'How can I make a moment?' — selfishly."

New Nike NFL Alternative Uniforms

The Carolina Panthers' new Nike uniforms were unveiled on Tuesday, along with a hidden message. The Panthers will have the words "Keep Pounding" stitched on the collars of their jerseys in honor of late linebacker and assistant coach Sam Mills. It is this kind of gesture that should be on every NFL uniform, remembering those who meant so much to the league. Mills was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in August 2003. Despite undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment, he remained on the field for the Panthers during the 2003-2004 season, and his inspirational plea to "keep pounding" led the team to a victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round. Mills said before the game,  "When I found out I had cancer, there were two things I could do—quit or keep pounding. I'm a fighter. I kept pounding. You're fighters, too. Keep pounding!" Keep Pounding is now a fund to sponsor cancer research programs. The Panthers' gestur...
