Rihanna wanted to work with Chris Brown

Rihanna is a very popular lady at that time in the world. She is awesome. Rihanna has explained that she decided to work with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown on two new remixes because he is "hot". Rihanna and Chris broke up back in 2009, after he brutally assaulted her on the eve of the Grammy Awards. After having no public contact for several years, the pair shocked fans by recording two remixes together earlier this year.Rihanna explained to Ryan Seacrest that she wanted to work with Chris again because he is "the hottest R&B artist out right now".

"You know, I thought about rappers, and I've done that so many times, and the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown," Rihanna said during the radio interview. "So I wanted him on the track and then in turn he was like, 'Why don't you do the remix to my track?' and it was a trade-off."

But she played down rumours that the former couple are getting back together, claiming that the songs were "innocent".
Rihanna has a message for fans disturbed by her recent collaborations with Chris Brown: “It’s music, and it’s innocent.”
The pop star phoned in to Ryan Seacrest’s Los Angeles radio show on Thursday, discussing for the first time Brown’s vocals on the remix of her song “Birthday Cake.” Once her boyfriend, Brown beat up Rihanna three years ago and is still on probation for the assault.
“I reached out to him about doing ‘Birthday Cake’ because that’s the only person that really — it made sense to do the record just as a musician. Despite everything else, that was gonna be the person.”

"The first song that came about was 'Birthday Cake.' ... We ended up recording [the two songs] at the same time and executing them together," she explained on Ryan Seacrest's radio show Thursday morning (March 15). "But I reached out to [Brown] about doing 'Birthday Cake' because that's the only person that, really, it made sense to do the record.

"Just as a musician, despite everything else, that was going to be the person," she said, referring to Brown's 2009 assault on her, which ended their relationship. "You know, I thought about rappers, and I've done that so many times, and the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown. So I wanted him on the track and then in turn he was like, 'Why don't you do the remix to my track?' and it was a trade-off."

The ex-couple have also had fans buzzing in the last few months over rumors that they have been dating again, despite Brown's romantic relationship with aspiring model Karrueche Tran.
"We did two records — one for my fans, one for his fans — and that way our fans can come together," Rihanna explained. "There shouldn't be a divide, you know? It's music and it's innocent."
The interview is the first time she has commented publicly about the controversial remixes. However, "Birthday Cake" co-producer/writer The-Dream recently stopped by MTV News' "RapFix Live" and opened up about the track.
"The same questions that went through my mind, and I'm an artist also, had to have gone through hers," The-Dream recalled of hearing Rihanna's remix idea. "When she raised the question to me, I know she's not crazy. So my thought was, 'You've been thinking about this, you've already thought it out, so evidently you know what reaction you gonna get.'
Dream added of Rihanna and Chris' troubled history, "Everybody knows what took place, cool. Have the power to really forgive if that's what it is. If not, stay on that side of the fence from the beginning."

New Nike NFL Alternative Uniforms

The Carolina Panthers' new Nike uniforms were unveiled on Tuesday, along with a hidden message. The Panthers will have the words "Keep Pounding" stitched on the collars of their jerseys in honor of late linebacker and assistant coach Sam Mills. It is this kind of gesture that should be on every NFL uniform, remembering those who meant so much to the league. Mills was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in August 2003. Despite undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment, he remained on the field for the Panthers during the 2003-2004 season, and his inspirational plea to "keep pounding" led the team to a victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round. Mills said before the game,  "When I found out I had cancer, there were two things I could do—quit or keep pounding. I'm a fighter. I kept pounding. You're fighters, too. Keep pounding!" Keep Pounding is now a fund to sponsor cancer research programs. The Panthers' gestur...
