Eric Decker engaged to country music star

Denver Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker is engaged to be married to country music singer Jessie James. The 25-year-old was Tim Tebow's favorite target during the 2011 season, catching a team-high 44 passes and eight touchdowns. He suffered a knee injury in Denver's overtime playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and missed the team's divisional palyoff game.

James, 23, released her self-titled debut in 2009. It peaked at No. 23 on the Billboard charts. Last year, she performed the national anthem before one of Decker's games. The Broncos went on to defeat the New York Jets that night, kicking Tebowmania into high gear and helping propel the team to the AFC West title.
The couple met through a mutual friend and began their relationship on the phone.
James announced the engagement on Sunday via Twitter. In case anyone was wondering whether it was an April Fool's gag, she tweeted multiple pictures that showed her wearing an engagement ring. James and Decker then celebrated their upcoming nuptials by attending the Academy of Country Music Awards.
In her new video for "When You Say My Name," James is seen sliding through a house in her underwear, a la Tom Cruise from "Risky Business." Assuming you haven't already left this post to go find it yourself, you can watch the clip at Yahoo! Music.

New Nike NFL Alternative Uniforms

The Carolina Panthers' new Nike uniforms were unveiled on Tuesday, along with a hidden message. The Panthers will have the words "Keep Pounding" stitched on the collars of their jerseys in honor of late linebacker and assistant coach Sam Mills. It is this kind of gesture that should be on every NFL uniform, remembering those who meant so much to the league. Mills was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in August 2003. Despite undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment, he remained on the field for the Panthers during the 2003-2004 season, and his inspirational plea to "keep pounding" led the team to a victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round. Mills said before the game,  "When I found out I had cancer, there were two things I could do—quit or keep pounding. I'm a fighter. I kept pounding. You're fighters, too. Keep pounding!" Keep Pounding is now a fund to sponsor cancer research programs. The Panthers' gestur...
