New World Trade Center Rise in Minutes

In a matter of days, One World Trade Center could be the tallest building in Manhattan and one of the tallest in the world.
The building is expected to be taller than New York's iconic Empire State Building, which currently rises 1,250 feet to the 102nd floor observation deck.
One World Trade is being built on the site of the original World Trade Center towers - or Twin Towers. They were the tallest buildings in the city, but were destroyed in the Sept. 11 terror attacks, in which an estimated 3,000 people were killed.

The progression of construction on One World Trade can be seen in a two-minute, time-lapse video from EarthCam, the international webcam technology company.
Construction is estimated to be finished in 2013 or 2014. One World Trade Center will stand 1,776 feet tall.
The construction began six years ago. One hundred floors have been built so far, and four more remain before the tower is completed.
The site also is home to 4 World Trade Center and the 9/11 Memorial Plaza.

Dave Haywood and Lady Antebellum gets Married

All three members of country supergroup Lady Antebellum are officially off the market, as Dave Haywood married Kelli Cashiola on a private farm just outside Nashville on Saturday. The bride, 30, wore a white lace dress and a white flower in her hair, while singer/songwriter Dave Barnes provided the music for the happy occasion, according to People. Several wedding guests took to Twitter to offer congratulations to the newlyweds. "The Dave Haywood/Kelli Cashiola wedding was awesome. Like a movie," fellow Nashville country trio Mockingbird Sun Tweeted on Sunday. "Wish them the very best!" Attendee Kyle Key Tweeted, "Back from secret wedding location. What a wedding! New Nike NFL Alternative Uniforms

The Carolina Panthers' new Nike uniforms were unveiled on Tuesday, along with a hidden message. The Panthers will have the words "Keep Pounding" stitched on the collars of their jerseys in honor of late linebacker and assistant coach Sam Mills.It is this kind of gesture that should be on every NFL uniform, remembering those who meant so much to the league. Mills was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in August 2003. Despite undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment, he remained on the field for the Panthers during the 2003-2004 season, and his inspirational plea to "keep pounding" led the team to a victory over the Dallas Cowboys in the divisional round. Mills said before the game,  "When I found out I had cancer, there were two things I could do—quit or keep pounding. I'm a fighter. I kept pounding. You're fighters, too. Keep pounding!"
